Back in June we were excited to see one of our prints used in Pattern Observer’s trend report for fall florals. Our ‘Space Mountain’ print is shown in the Brushstrokes of Mystery group, and to be visually paired with with awesomeness that is Erdem was the cherry on top. We are so partial to color here at Aaryn West that even our neutral palettes end up with a few pops of bright hues. This week’s color story invokes images of a sunrise from the vantage point of the Mars Rover; metallic silvers combine with rusty melon tones to set a mood that is both mellow and energizing all at once.
Before the muddy hues of fall take over completely we are celebrating the dog days of summer with a few more spicy palettes.
This week’s color story is equal parts earthy and ethereal.
If you pay attention to fashion then you’re well aware that many designers have gone bonkers for prints. They are mixing them in unconventional ways, and saturating the body from head-to-toe in bold, colorful motifs. Just when we thought there was no possible way to up the ante a few designers had to go and prove us wrong. Below you’ll find a few examples of print-laden collections set against some very dynamic backgrounds. And apparently we aren’t the only one to notice this trend – the last set of images were composed by one of our favorite bloggers, the lovely Miss Moss, posted on her blog only yesterday. If printophelia isn’t a real word yet we think it ought to be; we are certified printophiles. Just don’t tell our health insurance, ok?
