Last week my designer/gamer/geek and I broke with tradition by taking a few days off to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary with a road trip. The fourth anniversary celebrates through fruit and flowers {if you’re into that sort of thing} so we unplugged and drove up to Northern California. Trinidad Bay to be specific, and also the Redwood National Park, where we did some scenic hiking. Needless to say, I was rather excited when we spotted our first Banana Slug. The trip was all too short, but these photos serve as a great reminder to get out of the office more often.
Here’s a warm and earthy color palette to start the day, wherever in the world you may find yourself this morning.
There were some really consistent color trends throughout the Resort 2013 collections, which have conveniently been rounded up below into five easy palettes. A few honorable mentions would be the classic nautical red-white-and-blue combo, as well as a quirky mix of mismatched purples somewhat reminiscent of the elderly lady you sometimes see at the grocery store. I know you know what I’m talking about.
