23 Weeks: Patterns, Preggos & Painted Places

23 Weeks: Patterns, Preggos & Painted Places

Driving through Hollywood one day, I spotted this amazing rainbow-hued mural on the security gate of fine drinking establishment, which luckily for me, appeared to be closed for remodeling. Although it may not be the most intricate or sophisticated of motifs, it’s bright colors and geometric composition make it my favorite in this series thus far. And I think it made for the perfect compliment to my graphic skirt and WkShp tee, which just so happens to feature one of our own Aaryn West designs.

Come back next week for an update in our ongoing series: Patterns, Preggos & Painted Places.

New Site & Blog Design!

New at Aaryn West

This week we are excited to roll out a spiffy new design for the Aaryn West website and blog. In addition to serving up a little more eye candy, we hope to have made the site more informative and easier to navigate. Be sure to check out the Our Prints section, showing past Aaryn West projects and collaborations, and a growing list of our lovely clients.

We are also very pleased to announce we have new sales representation with New York based agent D. Matt Smith. Contact him to schedule an appointment, or find out the next time he’ll be in your city with our collection.

Sunset Sorbet: Monday Color Mood

Sunset Sorbet: Monday Color Mood via Aaryn West

After quite literally swooning over the colors in Gucci’s Resort 2014 presentation, I knew it had to be the basis of this week’s color story. The combination of lilac, amber, peach and mauve have me dreaming of the perfect beach sunset, seen through retro rose colored glasses.

How Very Dare: Trash To Treasure Collection

How Very Dare: Trash To Treasure Collection

We recently came across How Very Dare, a Brooklyn-based fashion label with a penchant for innovative, photo-centric digital prints. Their newest collection, Trash to Treasure, doesn’t officially launch until tomorrow, but we caught a sneak peek on Relapse Magazine’s blog and had to share. We are loving the kitschy imagery and carefully engineered mixing of prints, which underscore one of our favorite design mantras: More is More.

For more news and info about How Very Dare, check out their website, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter. If you’re anywhere near Brooklyn, be sure to check out the collection in person this weekend at their pop up shop at Alter.
