You may have noticed it’s been a little slow around the Aaryn West blog lately, thanks to a little something the stork delivered recently. Garnet and gold team up for a gorgeously gilded color combination in today’s color story. Decadence and glamor may not be the name of your game in this first week of March, but we’re hoping it’s at least rich in happiness and productivity.
Attempting to combine purple and gold can lead to a dangerously gaudy situation, and to be perfectly honest, we’re okay with that. But if you’re not trying to look like a thugged-out Barney, or Her Majesty, give this color combination a whirl.
Since I can’t bury my toes into the golden sand of an exotic beach this morning, I thought I’d at least channel that thought into today’s color post. Not to mention, I’m fascinated by the head-to-toe print trend [which I first blogged about way back in this post] and these complimentary leopard prints from Giambattista Valli’s Resort 2013 collection really tickle my fancy.
Not typically considered a common or basic color combination, stories with orange and purple always command my attention. I wouldn’t mind sporting that amazing bejeweled cuff, for starters.
